The course was founded in 1892 and was, at the time, the highest golf course in Europe. At 1800 meters above sea level, the 18 holes of the Samedan Golf course are the most alpine of all. The panoramic view of the plateau of the Flaz brook in a unique mountain panorama will let you forget the real reason for being there. The flat course runs through meadows, succulent pastures and alongside secluded streams. The highest point is the elevated green on the 2nd hole. To find oneself at 1800 meters above sea level in the midst of a high mountain area, and still be able to play on what is possible the flattest golf course in Switzerland, is simply fascinating. The plateau is structured through larches, some as old as 700 years.
