Sandy Ridge Golf Course – Midland – A W. Bruce Matthews Design

Sandy Ridge Golf Course near Midland, is a W. Bruce Matthews design. Mr. Matthews was a pioneer in Michigan golf course architecture and in the golf industry as well. He is a Michigan HOF member of the ASGCA and Michigar. His son, Jerry Matthews, followed him into the firm and collectively, they have designed more Golf Courses than any other firm in Michigan. The front nine of Sandy Ridge was built in 1963 with the back nine coming two years later.
