Does anyone know of any golf courses in the orange county fl area that I can get a membership?
It seems impossible..all of the Golf Courses here are professional or championship courses and you can’t really buy a membership or could afford it. I live in New York and up there you can go to any golf course (nice ones too) and pay 8 or 900 dollars and golf for a whole year…are there any average golf courses here that offer memberships or even half year? I live at the patterson apartments in lake buena vista if anyone knows where/what that is…thank you!
It depends on what part of Orlando you are referring too. The Golf Group owns 5 courses and you can get a reduced rate by joining one of them at all courses. All of their courses are pretty decent.
North of Orlando is a course called Magnolia Plantation. Great course, staff and ownership. They have a "weekday" membership for $160.00 a month and gives you free golf/cart weekdays and cart fee only weekends.
Really depending on what time of year you will be here (year round or snowbird). During the summer you can find places to play for $25- $35 per round so maybe membership isn’t worth it.
Also realize that your golf membership in NY was limited by cold weather/snow. Golf in Orlando is truly year round and the courses are maintained year round (water/fertilized/mowed/seeded/sanded…etc) and there is no down time. So your NY membership vs an Orlando membership is like comparing apples to oranges.
If you provide me with some additional info I will be happy to help you out.
