Would a serious golfer hit floating golf balls at an aqua range?
Would a serious golfer hit floating Golf Balls at an aqua range? or would you be afraid it would throw offf your game. Floating balls are 5% lighter than a regualtion golf ball. Aqua range consists of hitting balls into the water. Aiming for targets. Having the challenge to make a hole in one on a floating island.
an aqua range is fine for warming up before around, but you should limit your time on them as much as possible. although range balls are slightly different than the balls you will play on the course, floating balls are very different. i’m not sure of their specific properties but if they float they cannot be made of the same material. floating balls are also more expensive than range balls and therefore will be changed less often. i’ve warmed up on one before and i didn’t hit two shots in a row that went the same distance or had the same balls flight and i assure you this is not due to my skill level. they are fine to hit a few balls before teeing off, but for any extended practice find a range that has real balls. also, tiger woods would not be caught dead practicing with anything but a real golf ball.

If the only space available at a course for a driving range is a lake within the confines, isn’t it logical to develop an aqua range ? And if that were the only range available, isn’t it prudent to hit a few warm up shots into the lake regardless of the weight of the ball ? What can you suggest as an alternative ? Whiffle balls ?

most range balls are different from the balls you play
the lighter thing may make it go further and have more spin on it than you would when you go out and play
really do see why a serious golfer wouldn’t be able to hit on an agua range
i am sure tiger wouldd be just as good if he hit on it as a kid
