Is it possible that golf balls can fly half a mile?
The house I am living in is about half a mile from a golf course and we keep finding golf balls in the yard. So the obvious thing to think is that they are coming from the golf course, but that seems almost impossible that the Golf Balls could travel that far to me. Is it possible?
The furthest a golf ball flies when struck by golfer is approximately 400 yards. And that would be a extremely long shot. Most likely someone in your neighborhood is practicing and those practice balls are ending up in your yard.Is it possible ?Yes.Is it likely? No

Jamie sadlowski hit the ball 418 rads his swing speed is 165 mph a 300 mph swing speed could go 800 yards and up until the ball exploded at impact.

No, because a half mile is a bit over 2600 feet which equals almost 900 yards. If they hit an airport runway it could maybe bounce that far but no way can someone drive a ball 900 yards in the air. Who knows maybe it is just your neighbors.
