Improve Golf Driving Distance
How do I improve my golf driving distance? I hear this question
daily. This is the dream of almost every amateur golfer. To hit
it longer. But to improve golf driving distance isn’t what you
think. No it’s not your equipment. It’s not pounding more balls
at the range. And it’s not even taking more lessons.
It’s about working on the machine that swings the club. Are you
following me? Do you know what I’m getting at? You’re an athlete
if you play golf. Don’t laugh. I’m serious! To swing a golf club
effectively takes a tremendous amount of golf specific strength,
flexibility, coordination, balance and stability.
None of the above can be accomplished without an optimum level
of golf specific fitness. When was the last time you made a
swing and felt like it was an effortless, full and produced
maximum power? I’m sure it’s happened on occasion, but not as
often as you want right?
The reason why is your body can’t produce a repetitively
powerful swing. It’s not capable of it. Why? Because you need to
work on it ‘off the course’ with simple golf strength and
stretches to build up the golf specific muscles that can make
this happen.
To improve golf driving distance you must take this attitude. If
not, be ready to accept the same swing, game and results you’ve
been getting for a long time. I don’t mean to mix words, but the
truth is needed. No sugar-coating! This is “throwing all the
cards on the table” and deciding how bad you want to improve
your golf driving distance.
Golfers have been bombarded with ads about the latest-greatest
driver, guaranteed to add 30 yards to your driving distance. I
say bs on that. It’s you that swings that club. Doesn’t matter
what club you have if your body is in poor condition.
The critical area to work on for the quickest results is your
core (mid-section). Your core is the engine that drives the
swing and produces all the power. You’ve got to strengthen this
area from a rotational standpoint to improve golf driving
distance.
Not only will this approach improve your golf driving distance,
but it will eliminate low back pain and injury. Low back pain is
the most common complaint among golfers. It’s no wonder since
the Golf Swing is such a torquing movement that directly affects
the lower back if you have weak and restricted muscles.
The benefits far outweigh the effort involved. Longer drives, no
more injuries and years of golf enjoyment. There’s no better
return than that. So take a different approach to improve golf
driving distance.

How can i improve my golf drive distance and please dont say practice.?
Swing harder

This is something you need to ask Barry Bonds….

ok i wont say it but it would help. i would go see a golf pro and have him check out your swing. alot of times a small change will give you big rewards.

Obviously after practice, comes a little wider stance, upgrading driver, (graphite vs. steel shafts), isometric training, and resistance band training.
References :
Hate to tell you – but you need to practice. Go to a pro, get your clubs sized correctly , swing monitored and select the best driver – compatible with your swing.
Then practice.
References :
Slow down your backswing. Assuming you are right handed, the left side of your body, including left arm, is the key. Supinate and pronate your wrists.
Get this book – Ben Hogan’s "Five Lesssons".
I’d tell you what supinate and pronate mean but then you probably would not purchase the book. Probably Amazon (used) is your best bet.
Good luck! Let me know how it works.
And do you know what!

More shoulder turn and keep your wrists cocked as long as possible on your downswing. Right before impact, try to explode your release through the ball.

Satrt with increasing your flexibility by taking a long broom handle and rest it on your shoulders while holding your elbows at 90 degree angle. Turn your shoulders so the broom moves to parallel to your target line, or 90 degrees. Hold this position for 10 seconds, do this 10 time a day. Your shoulder turn will increase, therefore increasing your arc, which in turn will help you hit the ball farther. Could go on, but this is something very simple and effective that you can do quickly and daily. Stretch, stretch, stretch. Good luck!

snap your left leg on downswing for about 10-20 yards extra.

Work out and improve flexibility, especially the back.

No one can really answer that question for you and really give you any help! You do need to see a pro though. Even if for one lesson or fitting. The loft of your driver could be wrong for your swing, the shaft could be wrong, you might not be teeing the ball correctly. Your playing buddies can’t fix that. You need to talk to someone that knows what they are talking about. They surely can add some distance to your drive. And hey, I won’t say practice. If what you are doing is wrong, that isn’t going to help at all.

A little bit of muscle building never hurt anyone. You can spend hundreds of dollars on a different club and on "longer hitting" balls, but you are probably not going to make a significant gain there. If your swing mechanics are in check, just making yourself stronger is going to be the best option. Are you shifting your weight properly to really get behind the ball? Are you taking the club all the way back and then finishing high? Someone told you to swing harder, but if you play very much at all then you know not to listen to that, that will just force errors. Just a little more weight lifting than you do now is all you need to gain some yardage.

May all your tee shots be long and straight!
Right the best way to improve distance is this ( it took me about 2 months but it was worth it ) what you do is focus behind the ball. You know this has worked by the ball staying low then rising like the pros
also dont swing to hard you will lose you balance and rythme… good luck

It doesn’t matter. Drive distance rarely comes in to play if you are trying for a low score

Ok you ready? It might not be that hard. Try the 2 things that cause the women players to hit the ball so far. A good wrist set, and a large arc down swing. And swing plane to plane don’t try to pick it up quick and swing from inside to outside. Swing plane to plane with a slow takeaway and a large arc downswing will give the club time to pick up speed. You just might be amazed at what this will do I know I was. This technique added 30 yards to my Tee shots instantly. I now reach most par 5′s in 2. Good luck and keep swinging.
