However Im worried now that in the future I will end up with knee problems. Should I change my swing to help my knee or leave it as it is?

do you plan to hit 1000 balls everyday? do you plan to be as strong as tiger is? probably not. he only has knee problems because of the massive amount of torque on his knees 1000s of times a week. so unless your going to get as big as him and play is much probably not.

Recently I have been playing golf quite a bit and I push the ball 30 yards to the left(I am a left handed golfer). I know that my swing is not parallel to my body because when I square the clubhead up with my body it violently hooks right. I would like to fix this problem but I am not having any luck.

Your problem is a severe inside-to-outside swing. You’re attacking the ball from the inside too far that’s why when you square the club to your body it hooks right. The clubface is closed in relation to the swing path. Try practicing a downswing that’s a little wider and comes in less from the inside. You may be shortening your arms instead of swinging freely so before you tweak it, make sure you’re making a good long turn and swinging freely through the ball. If you place a ball on the inside path, say 6 inches behind the ball towards your left foot and about 2 or 3 inches inside towards your feet you should find out how far inside you are. If you hit that ball on the downswing, then you’re coming inside out too far. Swing without hitting the inside ball.

Like the question! How do I actually improve in golf swing? does my hand positioning needs replacing? and what sort of tempo should I move at? I often swing so hesitated , is it about confidence???

Obviously, we know that the hands grip the golf club and attach the body to the club. But what is the importance of them during the swing?

The answer has to do with releasing of the club. Let’s go at some quick golf biomechanics review. During the swing, from address position to follow-through, the hands are active in a passive type of manner.

Let me explain. The goal of the Golf Swing is to move the club on the correct swing plane to induce the intended golf shot that you want. This occurs through the body’s moving through a series of positions. These positions are found within the different phases of the golf swing.

The phases of the swing are address, take-away, backswing, transition, downswing, impact, and follow-through. During all of these movements the body is performing, the golf club is being moved upon a swing plane. The swing plane is the path upon which the golf club is to travel. Proper impact with the golf ball requires the golf club’s traveling upon the correct swing plane.

In order for the club to travel on the correct swing plane it is necessary for the clubface to open and close. Oftentimes, in golf terms the opening and closing, of the clubface is termed "releasing of the club." This is where the hands become an integral part of the golf swing.

Well I think is best if you actually come and learn this simple golf swing technique…
it completely guides you through step by step and in a more visual way, very hard to explain here !
or try here mate! http://tinyurl.com/42pfbtd

i want to know some way of practicing your swing correctly, and making changes in your swing to stick. is a weighted golf club good for that?

Hi. A weighted club is good however it doesn’t give you instant feedback when your Golf Swing is off plane – swinging your golf club consistently on plane and on tempo will make it "stick" in your subconscious allowing you to repeat it without thinking about it.
So you will need to find a golf training aid that not only gives you instant feedback when you’re swing is off plane, but also teaches you the "feel" of a fundamentally sound golf swing. Kinesthesiologists(they study the movement of muscles and joints) all agree this is the best way to learn a complex skill, and the golf swing is a complex skill.

In case you’re interested, there is a ground breaking golf swing aid on the market that not only gives you instant feedback so you’re not forced to guess whether your swing is right or not, it teaches you to swing on tempo and on plane, tap here to check it out===> http://golfingmagic.com/MedicusDriverReview/medicus-training-clubs/BestGolfSwingAid

And it costs much less that going to a teaching pro who may tie you up all in knots with a lotta "how to" instruction(most good teaching pros charge $100 and up for a 1hour lesson, most golfers need multiple lessons)

The trouble with most teaching pros is they give you tons of "how to" instructions which only speaks to your conscious mind – you need to learn the "feel" of swinging the club correctly – this talks to your subconscious mind – where real learning takes place.

Hope this helps.

Hi, I am 14 and I am playing in a tournament in 2 weeks at my local golf club. I have been a member of the club for about 3 months now. I have trouble generating power to my shots when I play golf I can hit the ball straight down the fairway but It only goes 100/150 yards most of the time. Does anyone know how I can get more power in my swing? Thanks any ones help and advice is appreciated

Try putting a weight on your club (not the face), and that should make you hit further when you actually lose the weight as your body experienced resistance with the weight, meaning a faster and more powerful swing.

Does being able to turn around a 80mph fastball, have any affect on your Golf Swing speed? Ive always heard that baseball hurts your golf swing but ive always found no correlation because in golf your swinging down at teh ball but in baseball your swinging at the ball.. Does it equate to anything, or is swing speed generated differently?

Your hips will be strong that’s for sure and that usually means more distance. But a baseball swing usually makes you a slice golfer. In golf you need your right elbow to remain closer to your body. When trying it you will probably lose quite a bit of distance but in time it will come back. But at least you’ll be hitting it straight.

I have started working out again after several years. The reason I stopped was because my muscle growth especially in my chest hindered my Golf Swing. Now that I have stared back, I need suggestions on stretches to counter that growth and keep my swing fluid and less mechanical. I try to stay away from chest exercises but I still need to firm up that area,

reach for your toes. then to the sky. lift you left knee up to your check while you twist to your right. lift your right knee and twist to your left. then just twist. put both hands on the ground and get into a push up position. then bring one leg up to your chest and push back. do this with both legs. then just twist your ankles and wrist. take your right arm put your hand on your left shoulder blade in the back and take your left hand and grab your right elbow do this with both arms. roll your shoulders.curve your back and push your shoulders back. this works for both male and female body types. and should be held for at least 10-15 seconds everyday every 12 hours and this will help stretch out your whole body and should not hinder your swing. another tip is to make sure your upper body isnt stiff or you will end up hurting yourself. dont put to much pressure on your back. and you dont want to use muscle when golfing you want to learn how to use the club head to push off and send the ball flying and you want to hit dirt. get heavier clubs if needed. im a 12 year old girl and i use men clubs that most pro golfers use
